Why is there a bathroom fan at a Washington DC hotel?

A Washington DC resident was horrified to see a bathroom vent at his hotel room on Friday night.

The fan was spotted by a guest who went to check it out, and he called police, according to the local station WUSA.

According to the report, the guest, who asked not to be identified, said the fan appeared to be connected to a room at the Marriott Marquis.

“The room had been there for several weeks and the air was not very clean,” the guest said in the report.

“It seemed to be a ventilation fan with no outlet.

There was no indication that there was a leak or that the fans were malfunctioning.”

The Washington Metropolitan Police Department is investigating.

A police spokesperson told WUSA that the department “takes the issue of bathroom fan use very seriously and that we have a zero tolerance policy for such behaviour.”
